Twitter allows the user to send/receive messages (tweets). The message you post can be seen by your followers.

You can start searching people, organizations, celebrities or anything you want from it's search bar, which seems like given in the left side.

New Message: You can create/compose new message(tweet) by clicking this button, which tweet can be seen by everyone in the Twitter Network. (Or you can block it from "Settings" option)

Direct Message: You can see the (personal) messages posted directly to you by your Followers. "Followers" is like subscription feature of Facebook. Your Follower can receive all your tweets from his/her Twitter Homepage.

Follower: The one can subscribe (follow) another user by clicking on it's profile and selecting Follow/Unfollow button.

Following: The user(s) you are subscribed to, will appear in your "Following" part.

Settings:

Account - To change User Name (As your URL), E-mail Address, Language, Timezone, Tweet Location, Tweet Media, Tweet Policy, Country, etc.

Password - Change/Recover Password.

 

Mobile - To get notifications on a mobile.

Notifications - To get various E-mail updates (Most probably users will prefer predefined notifications)

Profile - Display picture, Name, Location, Website link of you, Bio (About me), and Post your Tweets to Facebook. "Post your Tweets to Facebook" option posts your tweets to your Facebook Profile. User need to attach his/her Facebook account if he/she needs this facility.

Design - User can change background image of Twitter.

Sign-out: Turn offs your Twitter Account.
